Important Notice: Upcoming Changes to Kern NBN Broadband Services.
Understanding the Changes.
In September 2024, NBN Co (“NBN”) announced various changes to the NBN TC4 product and services aimed at unlocking greater speeds and value to lift Australia’s digital capabilities. This includes:
• Increase bandwidth on selected NBN TC4 FTTP and HFC speed tiers - Effective from 15 September 2025
• Introducing New NBN TC4 Multigig Speed Tiers - Effective from 15 September 2025
• Introducing New NBN TC4 Next Gen FTTP NTDs - Effective from 15 September 2025
To sustain the high-quality services and products we provide to our valued customers, KernWi-Fi will implement and make available these changes.
Details of the Changes.
• Increase bandwidth on selected NBN TC4 FTTP and HFC speed tiers and correct Modem Types.
Effective from 16th September 2025, Kern NBN will upgrade the bandwidth on eligible existing services across selected NBN TC4 FTTP and HFC plans. These upgrades will be applied automatically and without any increase to monthly recurring charges.
To benefit from the new speed tiers, customers must ensure they have a compatible modem / router. Refer to the table below for supported models. A one-off hardware upgrade fee applies where a new modem / router is required.

From 15th September 2025, Kern NBN will make available, NBN TC4 2Gbps Multigig speed tiers applicable on FTTP/HFC access types. New Plans and Speed will be available.
To benefit from the new speed tiers, customers must ensure they have a compatible modem/router.
Refer to the table below for supported models. A one-off hardware upgrade fee applies where a new modem is required.
